Sport at Amotherby Community Primary School 🏅
At Amotherby Community Primary School, sport plays an important role in school life and supports our core values of Active, Aspire, Achieve.
We provide regular opportunities for pupils to take part in a wide range of physical activities, helping them to develop fitness, confidence, teamwork and resilience. Pupils are encouraged to stay active, challenge themselves and enjoy being physically healthy.
We proudly represent the school at tournaments and competitions at Malton Sports Centre, competing alongside other local schools. These experiences encourage pupils to aspire to do their best, show sportsmanship and teamwork, and celebrate both effort and achievement.
Through participation in sport, pupils learn to set goals, persevere and take pride in their successes — helping them to achieve both on and off the field.

Outdoor PE provides valuable opportunities for children to develop physical skills, teamwork and resilience while benefiting from fresh air and open space. Through a range of games, activities and challenges, pupils build confidence, improve coordination and learn the importance of staying active in a fun and engaging environment.
