PE

Physical Education at our school is designed to inspire all pupils to enjoy being active and to develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed for lifelong participation in physical activity. Through a broad and balanced curriculum, pupils build fundamental movement skills, strength, coordination and teamwork, while learning the importance of fair play, resilience and personal challenge. Our PE lessons promote physical health, mental wellbeing and positive relationships, ensuring every child feels confident, included and motivated to succeed.

The school is committed to providing all pupils with the opportunity to participate in competitive sport through its strong collaboration with Malton Sports Centre. Through this partnership, pupils across the school take part in a wide range of inclusive and competitive sporting events throughout the year. The programme is carefully structured to ensure that every child, regardless of ability or experience, has the chance to represent the school in festivals, tournaments or inter-school competitions. This inclusive approach not only promotes physical activity and enjoyment but also develops key values such as teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship. By prioritising participation for all, the school ensures that competition is a positive and accessible experience, helping to inspire lifelong engagement in sport and healthy lifestyles.
